Thunder & Lies
The Ballads of Francis James Child
Join Chico Schwall and friends for an evening of new interpretations of a choice selection from the 300 ballads collected by Francis James Child from 1882-98. Some of the songs are as old as pre-Christian Europe, and they remain contemporary, as versions by Joan Baez, Paul Simon, Fairport Convention and countless others have shown. Magic, murder, passion and great poetry abound in these timeless songs. [Details] - May 13[tickets]
